The Crane R-III School District is seeking applicants for a full-time Kâ12 Special Education Paraprofessional to work in a functional classroom for the 2026â2027 school year.
This position will support students who need help with daily living skills, communication, behavior, and basic academics. Students in this classroom follow alternate standards (MAP-A) and need a structured and consistent environment.
The paraprofessional will help students with classroom routines, small tasks, and learning activities throughout the day. Duties may include helping with behavior support, transitions, personal care needs, and building independence.
This position requires patience, consistency, and the ability to follow clear routines and directions. The ideal candidate will work well with a team and build positive relationships with students.
Applicants must meet paraprofessional requirements, including one of the following: 60 college hours, completion of the 20-hour DESE substitute training, holding a substitute certificate, or passing the paraprofessional assessment.
