A High School Trap Shooting Coach is responsible for leading a safe and educational competitive shooting program. Unlike traditional field sports, this role centers heavily on firearm safety, specialized range coordination, and individual marksmanship development within a team setting.

Coaches must be able to stand for long periods outdoors in various weather conditions, lift up to 30 pounds (such as cases of ammunition or targets), and possess the manual dexterity to operate and repair shooting equipment.
