The Crane R-III School District is seeking applicants for a full-time Secondary (grades 7–12) Special Education Paraprofessional for the 2026–2027 school year.
This position will support students with a range of learning and behavioral needs in both general education and small group settings. Responsibilities may include providing academic support, assisting with social skills development, supporting behavior needs, and helping students access classroom instruction.
The paraprofessional will work closely with special education and general education teachers to support students through a combination of push-in services within the classroom and small group or individualized support as needed.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate flexibility, strong communication skills, and the ability to build positive relationships with students while maintaining clear expectations and consistency. Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs in a secondary setting is preferred.
Applicants must meet paraprofessional requirements, including one of the following: 60 college hours, completion of the 20-hour DESE substitute training, holding a substitute certificate, or passing the paraprofessional assessment.
